Free padel Americano apps compared

Last updated 27 Oct 2026 · 7 min read

Most organisers choose between a free web tool, a freemium phone app and a spreadsheet. Check five things before the night: the real price for your number of courts, whether players need an account, whether everyone can follow the standings, whether players who sit out get points, and whether you can add or remove a player mid-tournament.

Five questions to ask before choosing a padel Americano app: the cost for your number of courts, whether players need an account, whether everyone can follow the standings, whether players who sit out get points, and whether you can add or remove a player mid-event.
The five questions that settle most choices.

How did we compare them?

We make Padelato, so read with that in mind. Every fact about another tool comes from its own website or store listing, checked on the date below. Where only organisers' reports exist, we say so.

What should an organiser check first?

  1. What does it cost for my number of courts? Some apps are free on one court only.
  2. Do players need an account? Every sign-up costs time at the court gate.
  3. Can everyone follow the standings? A shared web link saves you reading scores aloud.
  4. Do players who sit out get points? Without them, whoever rests most falls behind.
  5. Can I add or remove a player mid-event? Someone is always late.

What is each tool good for?

Americano Padel (Perkodar) suits groups who want a polished native app with many formats and players entering scores from their own phones. More than one court needs Premium; the table has the prices.

PadelMix suits hosts who want a native app with many formats, leagues, knockout brackets and a live web link, with no account. Its store page and website do not say what Premium unlocks, so check before the night.

VamosTamos is a free browser tool with a TV mode for clubs, and it works offline. The site says little about sit-outs or mid-event changes.

LoPadel is a free browser tool for up to 10 courts that handles late arrivals, early leavers and a final. Organisers report running Mexicanos of 24 and 30 players with it.

padelamericano.org is a simple free Americano and Mexicano generator with a final round and view-only share links.

A spreadsheet is fine for a fixed group with the same numbers every week, but late arrivals, odd numbers and score fixes mean editing formulas on the night. The spreadsheet page has a free template.

Where does Padelato fit?

Padelato is a web app: open padelato.com on any phone, type the names and play, with nothing for anyone to install and every feature free on any number of courts. It draws Americano, Team, Mixed and Mexicano. Players who sit out get points (none, half a match or their own average), a latecomer joins without changing the match on court and gets credit for the rounds already played, and a round can be re-drawn with undo. The night can end with a final, semi-finals or quarter-finals, and afterwards everyone sees rank and points charts and a head-to-head grid. A TV view and your own name and logo are included.

It is a web app rather than an App Store app, so nobody installs anything. The host enters the scores and the tournament stays on the host's phone, with a backup export. It runs the evening itself, not leagues, bookings or payments.

Questions people ask

Is there a free padel Americano app without an account?

Yes, several. Padelato, PadelMix, VamosTamos and the Perkodar Americano Padel app all say no account is needed. Check the price for more than one court, because some apps charge for it.

Which Americano app is free on more than one court?

Padelato, LoPadel, VamosTamos and padelamericano.org are free web tools that run more than one court. The Perkodar Americano Padel app is free on one court and needs Premium for more. PadelMix sells Premium but does not list what it unlocks.

Can players follow the standings without installing an app?

Yes, with Padelato, PadelMix and the Perkodar app. Each gives you a web link that anyone can open in a browser. The other tools do not say, so test them before the night if this matters to you.

Which apps give points for sitting out?

Padelato lets you choose none, half a match or the player's own average, and gives late arrivals the same credit for rounds already played. PadelMix lists compensation for sitting out without saying the options. The other tools do not state it.

Which app handles late arrivals best?

Look for one that adds a player without restarting the tournament and never changes the match on court. Padelato, PadelMix and LoPadel all add and remove players mid-event, and the Perkodar app adds players during a Mexicano. Padelato also keeps the match on court as drawn and credits the latecomer for rounds already played.
